2. Data We Process

Connection Configuration

• Endpoint, region, and optional bucket are stored locally in app preferences.
• Access key and secret key are stored locally in macOS Keychain.

File and Metadata Information

• The app accesses your S3 object names, metadata, and media content you choose to browse.
• Thumbnail previews and temporary metadata caches are stored locally on your device.

What We Do Not Collect

• No in-app account signup is required.
• No user content is uploaded to our servers by default.
• No ad-tracking SDKs are included by default.

3. How We Use Data

• To connect to your selected S3-compatible storage provider.
• To display buckets, folders, files, previews, and metadata.
• To perform operations you initiate (import, download, copy, rename, delete, share link generation).

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. Data is sent to your configured S3-compatible provider only as needed to execute your actions.

If required by law, we may disclose information necessary to comply with legal obligations.

5. Third-Party Services

• S3-compatible storage endpoints you configure (for example AWS S3, Backblaze B2, or others).
• The help website may load Adobe Fonts assets when viewed in a browser.

Your use of third-party services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

• Connection settings remain on your device until you clear credentials or remove the app.
• You can clear credentials and local caches from inside the app.
• S3-side data retention depends on your storage provider settings and lifecycle rules.

7. Security

We use platform security features such as macOS Keychain for credentials. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so use strong credentials and least-privilege access policies.

8. Children's Privacy

S3 Manager is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International Use

If you use S3 Manager outside the United States, your data may be processed in the locations where your chosen storage provider operates.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
