Configure connection settings safely and control whether you browse all buckets or one specific bucket.
Open S3 Configuration
- Toolbar: click the Settings icon.
- Menu: File -> S3 Configuration...
Field Reference
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| S3 Endpoint | Provider endpoint. HTTPS is required; if omitted, it is auto-added. |
| Region | Inferred from endpoint in many cases. You can still override manually. |
| Key | Access key ID used for request signing. |
| Secret | Secret access key used for request signing. |
| Bucket (optional) | If set, app connects directly to this bucket and shows only that bucket. |
Choose Bucket
Click Choose... next to Bucket (optional) to fetch buckets using current endpoint/region/key/secret.
If your credentials do not allow ListBuckets, enter bucket name manually.
Credential Storage
- Key and Secret are saved in macOS Keychain.
- Endpoint/Region/Bucket settings are saved in app preferences.
Use Clear Credentials to wipe endpoint, region, key, secret, and bucket selection.
Connection Errors
S3 Manager shows user-friendly messages for common issues:
